Soladey was invented in Japan by Dr. Yoshinori Nakagawa. The name originates from the words ‘Solar’ and ‘Dental’. Dr Nakagawa knew that negative ions could be generated from titanium when this metal was exposed to light and water. As with other industrial applications such as water purification and air filtration, ionic power is not a recent discovery. Soladey was first manufactured in the early 1980s and this light activated toothbrush is now used daily by millions of people in Japan primarily, but also now in many other countries.
Soladey looks like an ordinary toothbrush, but closer examination reveals a titanium (metal) ionic conducting rod, which runs through the replaceable bristle head and into the handle.
This rod is the secret to Soladey. It's made of a patented solar conducting material that allows light, by photoelectric activity, to be converted into a natural energy source which kills the harmful bacteria in your mouth.
Soladey is effective in order to reduce smokers' tobacco stains, and there are many testimonials claiming the removal of difficult stains in a matter of weeks with consistent use of the Soladey ionic brush under a good light source.
How It Works:
There is a light-activated titanium rod (semiconductor) inside the handle. When exposed to any light source (a fluorescent bathroom light, a plain light bulb, or sunlight), the photo-sensitive titanium rod inside Soladey converts light into negatively-charged ions (electrons). The rod releases these ions, which blend with saliva to attract positive (hydrogen) ions from the acid in the dental plaque on your teeth.
The acid is then neutralized and plaque is disintegrated - a scientific approach to a cleaner and healthier mouth! Toothpaste is not required as water (saliva) is the acting ingredient - oral hygiene now becomes not only natural, but also economical! For those who find it hard to give up toothpaste, use only very small amount!
Benefits:
Bacteria in plaque attack food, producing acid. This acid causes bad breath, tooth decay, and gum disease. Normally, saliva neutralizes this action. But when plaque builds up, it acts as a barrier, preventing the neutralizing action of the saliva. According to clinical studies (see menu bar at left), the Soladey can stop this plaque buildup. Working with saliva, the brush controls and reduces the bacteria responsible for plaque.

REDUCES CAVITIES
|
actually reduces bacteria that cause cavities and stops bleeding gums by the natural cleansing action of safe, free electrons emitted from the revolutionary solar conducting rod
|
|
TEETH FEEL & LOOK CLEANER AND WHITER
|
through superior cleaning ability, plaque adhesion to your teeth is reduced photoelectronically
|
|
TOOTHPASTE IS UNNECESSARY
|
effective plaque removal is possible with or without toothpaste; ordinary light activates the patented semi-conductor rod and cleans your teeth without abrasives
|
AFFORDABLE & ECONOMICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL
|
with sensible care, the handle and rod will last a lifetime, requiring only inexpensive replaceable heads. The replacement heads provide all the benefits of the Soladey at a comparable cost of a regular toothbrush.

Study 1:
Soladey suppresses the proliferation of S. Mutance bacillus.
S. Mutance bacillus (cavity causing bacteria) disinfection examination.
After dipping both a normal toothbrush and Soladey-J3X into S. Mutance bacteria cultures for 3 minutes, they were cultivated in an agar culture medium for 48 hours. When compared, Soladey-J3X, resisted the proliferation of S. Mutance bacteria. (Japan Spinners Inspection Foundation)

Study 2:
Soladey-J3X removes plaque chemically.
In research on the plaque score (plaque removal effect) of an optical energy convertible toothbrush under a fluorescent light, a toothbrush with a semiconductor was used for 3 minutes. The results show that the plaque score fell further than those of toothbrushes currently sold by dental clinics.

Study 3:
Soladey-J3X breaks down lactic acid.
As a result of examining how much lactic acid produced by Mutance bacteria make can be broken down (it is assumed that the tooth is decayed) by PH value measurement, it was verified that even formed lactic acid decomposes gradually.
