' Water-conserving Self-pressurizing Air-injection Showerhead '
 Design Principles:
The Oxygenics® system self-pressurizes the water giving an even, superior flow for a clean-rinsing, invigorating shower experience. Unlike other low-flow showerheads that simply reduce water flow, the Oxygenics SkinCare Shower utilizes the principles of fluid mechanics to accelerate and pressurize the water to give a forceful 'spa-like' shower while saving money in water and heating costs. The Oxygenics® showerhead is the most invigorating water-saving showerhead on the market. It uses just 1.75 gallons/minute @ 60 psi. That's a saving of 30 - 70% vs. traditional showerheads. The Oxygenics system is based on the principle that moving water, channeled properly, creates a powerful momentary vacuum that automatically mixes a precise quantity of air with water at a reduced atmospheric pressure. This natural occurrence causes a rapid cycling of on-and-off pulsation - or what is known as the massaging effect. In addition, expanded effervescent droplets are produced that actually stretch the surface coverage of the shower water on the body by as much as 30%.
There are sixteen air intake ports on the face of each head, air enters and travels to the base where it mixes with water and is accelerated out of the core by an internal fin mechanism. The internal fin coupled with the four-port venturi increases the velocity and momentum of the water by as much as 25%. The entrainment of air into the water molecule can enrich the dissolved oxygen content by as much as 10 times typical levels - which not only benefits the skin in a variety of ways, but also enhances the pleasurable sensation of the shower itself. The Oxygenics® system ensures a superior and refreshing shower experience anywhere, every time.
The core of the Oxygenics® showers are made of Delrin®, a Dupont® manufactured acetal resin similar to Teflon. It provides the required strength, toughness, dimensional stability, hardness, lubricity, and resistance to clogging, corrosion and scale (mineral) buildup that is necessary to ensure long lasting performance. As a matter of fact, it is guaranteed never to clog.
